John W. Trout (1842-1910) of Craig County, Virginia, was the son of George and Rosannah Trout. He served with Company K, 46th Virginia Infantry Regiment. After the war he was a farmer and married Mary E. Eakin, daughter of Joseph and Agnes Eakin.
