Biographical or historical data
Thomas Riddick (1781-1830) of St. Louis, Missiouri, was the son of Jason and Euphane Fiveash Riddick of Suffolk, Virginia. His grandfather, Lemuel Riddick, had been a member of the House of Burgesses and his uncle, Wyllis Riddick served during the revolution and was a member of the convention that in 1776 adopted the constitution of the state of Virginia. Thomas Riddick was involved with establishing schools in St. Louis, worked for the Board of Land Commissioners, was director of the Bank of Missouri, and served as Alderman and Justice of the Peace in St. Louis.
