Summary
Includes two minute books. The first volume covers the period from 2 October 1807 to 30 August 1833. They are well written and thoroughly organized (Accession 24747). The second volume covers the period from 5 September 1834 to 29 August 1850. They are quite lengthy. For each session, data concerning churches, their locations, pastors, delegates, and statistical reports are tabulated. A summary report for the years 1807-1847 (pp. 214-215) includes dates and locations of meetings, moderators, preachers of introductory sermons, writers of circular letters, number of churches, number baptized by each church, and total number of members. Beginning in 1844 the clerk of each church and his post office address were listed

Biographical or historical data
This association was organized as Culpeper Association in 1792 by a group of churches formerly members of the Orange Association. Its name was changed to Shiloh in 1812. The counties it represented were Fauquier, Madison, Orange, Rappahannock, and Shenandoah. Albemarle and Greene Counties were added later.
