Biographical or historical data
Andoniram Judson Huntington was born in 1818 in Braintree, Vermont, He was the son of Rev. Elijah Huntington. He attended Columbian College in Washington D.C. (A.B., 1843; A.M., 1846) and Brown University (D.D., 1868). He married Bettie G. Christian in 1844. He was Professor of Greek and Latin at Columbian College, and taught for 51 years between 1843 and 1900, including serving as dean from 1897 to 1900. He died in 1903.
