Olivia Jane McArtor (1840-1912), John Robert McArtor (1842-1863), and Elizabeth Gertrude McArtor (1853-1921) were the children of Robert Campbell McArtor (1813-1888) and Sarah Fleming McArtor (1815-1890). Olivia Jane McArtor resided in Fauquier County, Virginia, and died unmarried. John Robert McArtor served in Company B, 8th Virginia Infantry during the Civil War, and was killed at the battle of Gettysburg. Elizabeth Gertrude McArtor married Benjamin Franklin Poston (1851-1907) 22 October 1873, and they had four children. The Postons lived in Fauquier County, Washington D.C., and Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
