Biographical or historical data
Linus R. Clark was born on 17 October 1837. He served with the 117th New York Volunteers during the Civil War, enlisting on 15 August 1862 as a first lieutenant. He was promoted to captain on 26 March 1863. He was wounded and lost a leg at the Battle of Darbytown Road on 27 October 1864. Clark was discharged on 20 March 1865. He died on 5 August 1900 and is buried in New Forest Cemetery in Utica, New York.
