Biographical or historical data
William Macon Waller owned a plantation at Forest Hill, Amherst County, Virginia. He served as a commissioner of the county schools during the 1820's. In 1845 the governor appointed Waller sheriff of Amherst County, a position he held until his death in 1849. William M. Waller was married to Sarah A. Garland and the couple had three children.
