Contains a letter from Lieutenant Governor James Wood, Council Chamber, to [John Wise], Speaker of the House of Delegates, enclosing papers from the Directors of Public Buildings. Included is a letter from Robert Goode, Daniel L. Hylton, & W[illiam] Foushee, dated 7 December 1796, enclosing a report, accounts, and an estimate related to the Capitol. The report discusses repairs on the roof of the Capitol; the agreement with Richard Carney, Adam Baird, & Andrew Hosea for covering the roof with slate; and the expenses for materials and workmanship. The accounts (labeled "A" & "C") provide an itemized list of contracts, etc., for work on the Capitol between 30 March & 3 December 1796. Lastly, there is an estimate of the amount of outside scaffolding for the Capitol
