Contains a resolution that the Executive be requested to purchase the houses & lots belonging to the estate of Lewis Burwell and rent out the house & lots which are currently occupied by the Governor. Included is a letter from Anderson Barret to Gervas Storrs, Chairman of the Committee Appointed to view the Public Buildings, regarding necessary repairs to the current Governor's house. In addition, there are two letters, dated 6 & 12 January 1804, from Edward Carrington to Storrs regarding the disposition of the estate of Lewis Burwell. Carrington describes the house and grounds and provides the difference in costs for buying or renting the property. In his second letter, Carrington writes that he will build a stable on the grounds if it is decided to purchase Burwell's property
