Contains a letter from Lieutenant Governor Charles K. Mallory, Council Chamber, to [Andrew Stevenson], Speaker of the House of Delegates, transmitting two copies of letters from Col. William Sharp, 54th Regiment of Norfolk Borough. On 4 February 1813, Sharp remarks on the arrival of a British Squadron in the Chesapeake Bay opposite the Pleasure House and the disposition of the U.S. Frigate Constellation at Hampton Roads. His letter dated 6 February 1813 encloses a letter from William C. Veale, 2nd Battalion, 20th Regiment, regarding prisoners sent on shore from the British Squadron and the intent of the British to land a large force to procure water. Sharp also writes on the need for arms and ammunition
