Biographical or historical data
Jane Charlotte Blackburn was born 23 August 1786 to Richard Scott Blackburn (1760-1804) and Judith Ball Blackburn. Jane Blackburn married John Augustine Washington (1789-1832) in 1811, and they had at least five children. They resided in Jefferson County, (West) Virginia, where Jane Charlotte Blackburn Washington died 6 September 1855. She was buried in the Washington family plot at Mount Vernon, Fairfax County, Virginia.
