Biographical or historical data
Robert Pollard was born in Culpeper County, Virginia, 3 July 1756. He moved to Richmond, Virginia, where he served as a trustee of the Richmond Academy, a director of the Farmers Bank of Virginia, and secretary and treasurer of the James River Company. Pollard married Jael Underwood (1759-1837) 10 July 1774, and they had sixteen children. Pollard died in Richmond 10 October 1842, and was buried in Shockoe Cemetery.
