Biographical or historical data
Locust Bottom Presbyterian Church was organized in 1785. In November 1887, Montgomery Presbytery received a petition from members of Locust Bottom Church in the vicinity of Gala asking for a separate organization for that part of the church. The Presbytery granted permission and Galatia Presbyterian Church was organized.
