Biographical or historical data
William Scott Colquhoun was born about 1791 in Virginia. He was commissioned a second lieutenant in the army in 1819 and a first lieutenant in 1822. Colquhoun was dismissed from the army in 1829. He worked for the Indian Bureau and was Choctaw agent the government. Colquhoun had a child by a Native American woman, but he apparently never married. He died in Washington D. C. in 1863.
