Summary
Register, 1849-1939, containing families, baptisms, confirmations, communicants (showing removals, marriages, deaths), marriages, burials, and offerings. The register begins with a history citing 1849 as the date of the parish's formation; the records show, however, that it was not until around 1857 that the parish really began to function. The last forty-six pages are an incomplete index

Biographical or historical data
Fluvanna County, created in 1777 from Albemarle County, included in its area parts of the two Albemarle County parishes, St. Anne's and Fredericksville, which were combined into one distinct parish named Fluvanna Parish. However no surviving records indicate that the parish was properly organized. In 1849 a petition to the designated authority for the establishment of a new parish in the county of Fluvanna was received favorably and Rivanna Parish was created.
