Biographical or historical data
George S. Roberts was born circa 1839 in Baltimore, Maryland, and attended the Alexandria Boarding School in the early 1850s. Later, he became a clerk in Baltimore. He married Laura Carmack 17 April 1862 and they had one daughter, Hattie (b. ca. 1871). Roberts' second wife, Emma, was born circa 1857.
