Biographical or historical data
Thomas Taylor Munford (1831-1918), of Richmond, Virginia, was a graduate of V.M.I. He served as colonel of the 2nd Virginia Cavalry, was appointed brigadier general, and took over command of Fitzhugh Lee's division. After the war he was a farmer and businessman in Uniontown, Alabama. Charles Robert Irving (1835-1914), of Amelia County, Virginia, attended the Medical College of Virginia. He served as lieutenant colonel of the 1st Virginia Cavalry. After the war he was a commissioner of revenue in Amelia County.
