Biographical or historical data
William Armstrong Crozier was born in 1864 in England. Emigrating to the United States, he became interested in Virginia history and genealogy. He published several works on Virginia history and genealogy, including THE BUCKNERS OF VIRGINIA, AND THE ALLIED FAMILIES OF STROTHER AND ASHBY, CROZIER'S GENERAL ARMORY, EARLY VIRGINIA MARRIAGES, A KEY TO SOUTHERN PEDIGREES, SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, 1721-1800, VIRGINIA COLONIAL MILITIA, 1651-1776, VIRGINIA HERALDICA, WESTMORELAND COUNTY, and WILLIAMSBURG WILLS. He edited VIRGINIA COUNTY RECORDS and the QUARTERLY REPORT. Crozier published most of his work with the Genealogical Association of New York. Crozier died in Hasbrouck Heights, Bergen County, New Jersey in 1913.
