Biographical or historical data
James Kyle enlisted as a sergeant in Captain Robert Kyle's company in the 48th regiment of the Virginia militia in 1813 and was honorably discharged later the same year. He died 24 December 1847. Harriet McDonald was born 14 January 1799 and married James Kyle 8 August 1816. Harriet Kyle applied and received a land bounty warrant in 1857 and later applied for and received a widow's pension in 1878-1879. She died in March or April, 1883.
