Festus Dickinson was born circa 1795. He resided in Bowling Green, Caroline County, Virginia where he practiced law. He was also treasurer of the Caroline School Commission, and corresponding secretary of the Washington Literary Society of Randolph-Macon College. He died on 16 June 1845.
