Biographical or historical data
John Conner probably was born in North Carolina, the son of Maurice Conner, an immigrant from Ireland who owned plantations in both Shenandoah County, Virginia, and North Carolina. John Conner married Susanah Myers on 20 July 1805 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. The couple resided in Shenandoah County until they moved to Champaign County, Ohio in 1835.
