Biographical or historical data
James Albert Pendleton (1844-1862) served with the Virginia Infantry, 2nd Regiment, Company A. He was captured at the battle of Kernstown (Va.) and imprisoned at Fort Delaware (Del.) from March-August 1862. He was killed at the 2nd battle of Bull Run (Va.) on 30 August 1862 and buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Shepherdstown, West Virginia.
