Contains a letter from Governor James Barbour, Council Chamber, to [Andrew Stevenson], Speaker of the House of Delegates, regarding the requisition by the General Government for 2151 troops to replace the troops at Norfolk whose period of service is about to expire. The Governor encloses a copy of a letter, dated 13 December 1813, from Brig. Gen. Robert B. Taylor, Norfolk, to [Moses Green], Adjutant General. In his letter, Taylor encloses the requisition for militia to be placed in the service of the United States and requests that some officers be retained in service. Also enclosed is a letter, dated 7 December 1813, from James Bankhead, Adjutant General of the U.S., to [Moses Green], Adjutant General, regarding the resupply of state troops who will be discharged
