List, 1775-1783, of surgeons, surgeons' mates, and hospital officers on Continental establishment who receieved depreciation from Virginia consisting of names of individuals who were allowed certificates of depreciation by the Virginia legislature for service in the Continental armed forces during the American Revolution. List includes the following information for each individual: name; rank; dates of service; amount of pay received exclusive of rations; and date the certificate was granted. The amount of bounty land granted also is included for many individuals
