Biographical or historical data
William H. Kirker was born 8 February 1831 in Ohio. Before the Civil War began, he was a clerk in Brooke County, (West) Virginia. When the war began, Kirker enlisted in the Confederate Army and became an assistant quartermaster. After the war, he settled in Charlottesville, Virginia, and became a druggist. Kirker died 5 or 8 May 1884 in Charlottesville and was buried in Maplewood Cemetery.
