Deed of trust, 25 May 1841, for 127 acres, horses, sheep, plows, bedding and furniture, and other personal property, from Benjamin Sinclair (b. ca. 1792) of Harrison County, (West) Virginia, of the first part; Edward J. Armstrong (b. ca. 1806) of Harrison County and trustee, of the second part; and Armstrong and other creditors of Sinclair, of the third part. Sinclair places his real and personal property in trust to Armstrong, who will hold the property until 25 November 1842. If Sinclair has not paid his creditors by then, Armstrong will sell the property to pay Sinclair's debts. Deed given to clerk of court of Harrison County 25 May 1841. Deed recorded in Harrison County deed book 29, 1840-1842, pp. 282-283

Born about 1806, Edward J. Armstrong was a merchant who lived in Harrison County, (West) Virginia. He and his wife Sophia (b. ca. 1807) had at least five children. They resided in that part of Harrison County which later became part of Taylor County, (West) Virginia.
