Biographical or historical data
Charles A. Johnston (b. 1858), from Bedford County, Virginia, became a prominent businessman in Christiansburg, Montgomery County, Virginia, as a partner in the firm of Johnston, Mosby and Company. He served three consecutive terms in the Virginia House of Delegates, from 1906-1912. He served as Virginia State Treasurer from 1918-1924.
