Dandridge in the deed of gift; and an exception, 1793, of Archer Payne in his suit against Moses Hunter to the decision of the court that he could not produce the subscribing witnesses to the deed of gift of slaves from Nathaniel W. Dandridge to his daughter

Biographical or historical data
Nathaniel West Dandridge (1729-1786) married first Dorothea Spotswood (1733-1778) and they had ten children, including Martha Dandridge (1748-by 1797) and William Dandridge (b. 1750). Nathaniel Dandridge married second Jane Pollard (1744-1815). Martha Dandridge married Archer Payne (1748-1831) 22 February 1770 and they had eleven children. Martha Dandridge Payne died by 1797; that year Payne married Betsy Brooks.
