Photo album, 1943-1945 and undated, kept by William Lawrence "Teeny" Johnson (1921-2012) of Richmond, Virginia, showing Johnson with friends and with various Johnson, Grant, and Ateyeh family members in undated photos from the 1930's and early 1940's; and during his service with General George Patton's Third Army during World War II. Photos taken during the war show Johnson and fellow soldiers home in Richmond on break from maneuvers in Tennessee, 1943; and in Heidelberg and Straubing, Germany, and Paris and Reims, France, in 1945. One set of photographs is labeled "11th Panzer Div. surrendering."

Biographical or historical data
William Lawrence "Teeny" Johnson was born on 4 March 1921, the son of William Lawrence Johnson Sr. (1894-1967) and Lillian Grant Johnson (1894-1990) of Richmond, Virginia. He served in General George Patton's Third Army during World War II. After the war, he worked for the C&O Railroad (CSX). With wife Imogene Smith Johnson he had one son, Stephen L. Johnson. Teeny Johnson died on 26 December 2012 in Richmond.
