Diaries, 1850-1867, of Rev. William T. Richardson (1820-1895) of Waynesboro, Virginia. There are six volumes covering the years 1850, 1855, 1857, 1860, 1866, and 1867. Topics in the daily entries include weather observations, marriages and funeral services performed, notations on Bible verses and places of sermons delivered by Richardson, letters received, and social visits. There are personal accounts at the end of some of the diaries

Biographical or historical data
William Temple Richardson was born in Charlotte County, Virginia on 18 January 1820. He was the son of John Davis Richardson (1779-1855) and Elizabeth Spencer. Richardson attended the Union Theological Seminary and Hampden Sydney College. He was a Presbyterian preacher in Waynesboro, Virginia, and also taught at the Augusta Female Seminary from 1873 to 1879. Richardson was co-editor of the "Central Presbyterian" from 1879 until his death. He died in Richmond on 14 August 1895.
