Biographical or historical data
Hermitage Church, then known as Hermitage Chapel, was formed about 1871 by those members of the Tinkling Spring congregation living in the northeast section of Augusta County. In 1916 the Lexington Presbytery approved a petition requesting that Hermitage become an independent congregation.
