Biographical or historical data
The Third African Baptist Church was dedicated on 30 May 1858. On 17 July 1858, the church was officially organized under the supervision of Grace Baptist Church, a white congregation, and on 17 July 1858 the name of the church was changed to Ebenezer Baptist Church.
