- Letter, dated 4 December 1851, from James Rowland (b. ca. 1823) of Botetourt County, Virginia, to M. M. Yeakle (b. ca. 1815) of Baltimore, apologizing for not sending payment because of his illness. Rowland writes that he is selling a shipment of corn, so he will be able to pay Yeakle soon, and he thanks him for his patience
