- It is unknown exactly when this cemetery came under the jurisdiction of the town of Culpeper, but it became Fairview Cemetery in 1903. Formerly it was known as Citizen's Cemetery, and it was here in 1880 that 350 Confederate soldiers were reinterred and a monument raised to them in 1881. The cemetery is located about one mile west of the town.
