- Transcript of land grant, 16 December 1714, for 800 acres in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, to Bridgman Joyner (d. 1719) of Isle of Wight County, partially granted on the headright system for bringing eight individuals to Virginia. Grant was issued by Lieutenant Governor Alexander Spotswood. Copy of grant made by Charles A. Blagrove, registrar of the Land Office on 1 March 1810
- Biographical or historical data
- The son of Thomas Joyner (1619-1694), Bridgman Joyner became a large landowner in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, including that part which later became Southampton County, Virginia. Bridgman Joyner had five children. He died in Isle of Wight County by 4 December 1719 at which time his estate was inventoried and appraised.
