- Letter, 5 December 1821, from Elizabeth Irvine Robertson of Bedford, Virginia to her brother, Dr. William S. Robertson in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Robertson relates the death of both her brother, Robert Robertson and her father, Arthur Robertson as a result of a fever that swept through "Big Lick" in Botetourt County, Virginia. She also relates the difficult financial situation of her brother's widow and children as a result of his death and requests money owed to her from the sale of a slave named Polly
