This account concerns the bonds (costs) of two male slaves. The reverse side has an unidentified credit account dated 1772 August 31. This incomplete sheet appears to have been part of a bound ledger

- Joseph Smith of Lunenburg County, Virginia, had land holdings and owned slaves in that county. He had six children who were living at the time of the probation of his will in the Lunenburg County Court 11 December 1794.
