- Biographical or historical data
- John Lipscomb was born about 1724 to John and Dinah Lipscomb. He married Ann Madison about 1748 and they had eleven children. Lipscomb was a modest planter who owned about ten slaves. He died between 5 December 1776 when he wrote his will and May 1777 when it was recorded in the King William County Court.
