- Biographical or historical data
- Edward Stabler possibily owned an apothecary in Petersburg, Virginia. A successful businessman, he was a member of the town council after Petersburg's incorporation in 1784. Stabler and his wife had four children. He died between 4 June 1785, when he wrote his will, and 6 July 1785 at which time it was recorded in the Petersburg Hustings Court.
