It includes references to court martials, the action of other military tribunals, the stationing and arrangement of troops of other military tribunals, the stationing and arrangement of troops under the direction of Continental officers, and reactions to the British evacuation of the City of Boston

- John Glover (b. 1732) of Massachusetts served in the local militia and after the outbreak of the Revolutionary War became an officer and rose to the rank of general before the end of the war. His troops were present in the conflict surrounding Boston and carried the forces of General George Washington over the Delaware River before the Battle of Trenton in December, 1776.
