- Scrapbook, ca. 1879-1911, of Emma Link (1858-1955) of Richmond, Virginia principally consisting of clippings from various newspapers and printed sources. Clippings consist of obituaries, marriage notices, poems, anecdotes, hymns, prayers, speeches, and abstracts from printed sources. Of note are clippings containing sermons, addresses, and articles written by and concerning Reverend Moses D. Hoge (1818-1899), long-time minister of Second Presbyterian Church in Richmond, Virginia. There are also genealogical notes (1 leaf) listing Emma Link's immediate family members and notes (1 leaf) documenting William P. Link's marriage on 28 January 1892 to Jessie Flowers. Aside from these two items, there is no other material concerning the Link family in the collection. There is also a small amount of miscellaneous material in this collection including a copy of the December 1902 issue of "The Chronicle of Second Presbyterian Church."

- Familiarly known as Emma Link, Martha Emeline Link was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia on 22 February 1858 to Rachel Frances Pinckney Greenlee and Preston Trotter Link. By 1860 Preston Link had moved with his family to Richmond, Virginia, where he worked as a clerk and salesman at Thomas, Hughes & Caldwell. Emma Link never married, and upon her father's death she continued to reside with her mother in Richmond. In 1936 Emma Link moved into a home on Stuart Avenue for elderly women called the Methodist/Presbyterian Home. She was a life-long member of Second Presbyterian Church in Richmond. Emma Link died on 30 March 1955 and was interred in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia.
