- John Sizer, Jr. was born in 1780 John Sizer and Ruth Mason Sizer. He served in the War of 1812 as captain of the 30th Regiment, Virginia Militia. Sizer married Elizabeth Gatewood of Caroline County, Virginia, in 1815, and they had ten children. Sizer died in 1845.
