- Receipt, 14 May 1778, signed by Henry Carbery (d. 1822) for two hundred thousand dollars he received from Jeremiah Wadsworth (1743-1804), Commissary General, which was to be delivered to the Governor and Council of Virginia in Williamsburg
- Biographical or historical data
- Henry Carbery served as a lieutenant and captain in the Pennsylvania Line during the Revolutionary War. He married Sybilla Schnectzel in Frederick County, Maryland on 9 December 1792. He died in Washington, D.C. on 26 May 1822.
